Reading and mentorship initiatives
At Raising Social Butterflies Inc, we run several key projects designed to enhance literacy and provide mentorship. Our "Read Aloud Mentoring Program" (RAMP) connects adults with elementary students for reading sessions on our social media platforms. We also host live Storytime sessions, encouraging parents to borrow featured books from their local libraries. Furthermore, our Storytime Events bring children together for shared reading experiences, where we give away free children's books to inspire a lifelong love of reading. Look for our little libraries stationed at various locations, offering kids the chance to take or donate books freely. During the summer, our Storytime Challenge motivates children to read 100 books, with a gift card raffle as an exciting incentive.
Making a tangible difference
Our projects have a profound impact on young lives. In 2023, we proudly distributed 5200 children's books, and in 2024, we've already given out over 1500 books. We've had the privilege of hosting more than 15 children's book authors, who read their published works live on our Facebook page, inspiring countless young readers. Our continuous efforts are dedicated to inspiring and encouraging children to pick up a book and read. Our ultimate goal is to help every child fall in love with reading, fostering imagination and knowledge for their future.
Support our mission
If our projects inspire you, there are many ways to get involved and support our vital work. You can host a Storytime event on our behalf, bringing the magic of reading to more children. Volunteer your time by reading online through our social media platforms, sharing stories with a wider audience. We also greatly appreciate donations of new or gently used books to replenish our little libraries and event supplies. Financial contributions are also welcome, helping us cover the costs of books, food, juice, and other essential supplies for our events. Together, we can continue to inspire and uplift the next generation.
